About Us
Legislating Animal Rights is an online gathering place for activists to engage in a dialogue about how best to address the extraordinary amount of abuse, torture, sport hunting, and killing of animals worldwide.
It is our contention that by focusing on developing laws to protect sentient life in more humane ways that these policies will inspire governments of countries to encourage the citizens throughout world cultures that engage in ongoing violence towards animals, and by extension children, women and men, to begin to engage in compassion over control in order to protect all sentient life from unjustifiable harm. This is a global initiative with the goal of spreading awareness through local policy proposals that will lead to legislating global social change.

Who We Are |
A body politic of disparate but concerned animal rights activists in dialogue around the world.

Our History |
After witnessing thousands of Facebook videos attached to petitions, some legitimate and many more quite questionable, it became clear that signing petitions is essentially folly. The awareness it garners is minimal and much of the sentiment that is gained circulates with already enlightened animal activists. What these various social media posts do not accomplish is any real or sustainable legislation towards protection of these innocent sentient lives.
Therefore a Facebook page was created: Legislating Animal Rights - US & Worldwide. And this website. |
